As news editor, I read lots of news every morning to decide what WMUA should be covering. Sometimes I come across stories that are great reads, but wouldn’t translate well to radio for any number of reasons. They’re still excellent pieces of journalism that I know our listeners would enjoy reading, so I’ll be sharing some here.
This article from the Boston Globe is a great example. Their correspondent, Joseph P. Kahn, sat down with Pete Souza, who photographed President Obama for the entirety of his presidency.
It’s a great read and contains some really stunning photographs of everything from Obama and his team in the situation room monitoring the capture of Osama Bin Laden to the president and First Lady huddled up together on their way to the Inaugural Ball in 2009.
Check it out if you get the chance, and, as always, be sure to tune in tonight and every weeknight to 91.1 fm or online at wmua.org to hear our news team bring you the stories that matter most to UMass and Pioneer Valley.
